How do you figure out how much CBD to use? What is the best dosage for me?
These are some of the questions we hear on a regular basis. This article will shed some light on the subject.
First and foremost, with CBD, less is best. In most cases, it is preferable to start with the lowest effective dosage and then slowly increase until you achieve the desired effects. But where do you start? First, calculate the mg. per dose by dividing the total mg. of the container by the container size (and use a gradient dropper or a dropper that holds 1 mg. per serving).
For example, 1000 mg. in a 60 ml. bottle is 1000/60=16.66 mg. per ml (one dropper).
Next, calculate your dosage based on body weight. In general, 1 to 6 mg. for every 10 pounds of body weight is a good starting point. The following chart may be helpful:

Finally, keep the following in mind as you try CBD.
CBD is biphasic. In other words, at low dosages it provides different effects than at higher dosages. This may seem odd, but it is fairly common; consider that with alcohol, at lower dosages it is somewhat of a stimulant, while at higher dosages it is a depressant. CBD is similar in that at each end of the dosage spectrum, you can expect different effects. A good rule of thumb, especially when starting out, is to start low, and record the effects you experience. Then you can increase or decrease the dosage accordingly.
